Matboucha

Friday April 24, 2009
MatbouchaMatboucha, a traditional Moroccan dish, is so popular in Israel that it can be found right next to the Hummus on Israeli grocery store shelves. Once you make it yourself, you won't want to settle for store-bought Matboucha anymore. My neighbor in Israel, Carmit, came over and showed me how to make this spicy Matboucha recipe.

I have to say that although the homemade matboucha is phenomenal at almost every restaurant in Israel, the store bought version you can pick up in the delis in be’er Sheva and Jerusalem are pretty excellent too! Try it if you can, anyway whether you make it or buy it.
