Challah
Challah is a loaf of yeast-leavened egg bread, often baked into a braided shaped, that is traditionally eaten by Jews on the Sabbath, holidays, and other ceremonial occasions. On some Jewish holidays, round challot are served. Some challah loaves are sprinkled with poppy or sesame seeds, and some challot are baked with raisins inside.
How To Make Challah
Making challah is not as difficult as its final braided shape makes it appear to be. And any effort that is invested in making challah is well worth the result! The smell and taste of freshly baked challah can turn a house into a home.
