If you are a chocolate lover, this cake is your dream come true. As a kosher dairy recipe, it is less versatile than kosher parve dessert recipes (kosher observant can not serve it after a festive meat meal). Nevertheless, this Chocoholics' Chocolate Cake is so delicious, everyone should have a copy of it in their recipe box.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 box Duncan Hines Devils Food cake mix
  • 1 5-6oz box chocolate pudding (not instant)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 8 ounces (250 grams) sour cream
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 ounces (200 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips; divide into two 3 ounce piles
  • 6 ounces (200 grams) milk chocolate chocolate chips; divide into two 3 ounce piles

Preparation:

1. In a mixer, place all ingredients except the chocoate chips.
2. When the ingredients are well blended, add 3 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 3 ounces of milk chocolate chips to the batter. Continue mixing until blended as well.
3. Pour the batter into a greased bundt pan.
4. Sprinkle remaining 3 ounces of each type of chocolate chips on top.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
6. Remove from oven and cool for 15 minutes.
7. Invert.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

Serve this moist Chocolate Cake with fresh berries and/or ice cream.
