Salmon Patties can be a great family dinner or a Shabbbos appetizer, especially during the summer months. This Salmon Patties recipe is easy, quick and versatile. Using canned salmon reduces prep time and effort. And the recipe can be easily altered according to your taste by adding garlic, mustard, parsley, lemon, and spices.

Ingredients:
- 1 14.75 oz. (400 grams) can canned salmon
- 1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- non-stick spray or 1 tablespoon oil for frying
Preparation:
1. Drain salmon.
2. If bread crumbs are not seasoned, then season with paprika, garlic, and pepper. Mix salmon with bread crumbs.
3. Add onion, egg and lemon juice.
4. Form patties. If mixture is too dry to form patties, add some mayonnaise.
5. Spray a frying pan with non-stick spray. On medium heat, brown patties on both sides, turning gently. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Variations: You can adjust the taste of the patties by adding mustard, ketchup, garlic, parsley, paprika, pepper and other spices according to your taste.
Serving Suggestions: Serve on a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato with tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, sweet chili sauce or ketchup on the side.
