Definition: Matzo is an unleavened bread that Jews eat during Passover.

According to Jewish tradition, when the Israelite slaves were fleeing from Egypt, they did not have time to wait for their bread to rise. The result was a cracker-like food called matzo.

In commemoration of the Exodus, Jews eat matzo every year during Passover.
Pronunciation: maht-suh
Also Known As: Matzoh, Matza, Matzah
Alternate Spellings: Matzoh, Matza, Matzah
Examples:
I like to eat matzo with mayonnaise on top during Passover.
