Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (1 kilo) fresh broccoli
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
Preparation:
1. Wash the broccoli. Discard the leaves. Cut off the toughest part of stem. Separate broccoli into florets.
2. In a large pot, bring water to rapid boil. Add florets. Cover and boil for 1-2 minutes, until the broccoli is bright green. Drain the broccoli, and rinse with cold water.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, sugar and salt. Pour over the cooled broccoli.
4. In a frying pan, toast the sesame seeds until just slightly browned. Toss the seeds into the broccoli salad.
