String Bean Salad

This easy to prepare, delicious to taste, kosher pareve salad recipe comes from Sara Finkel's bestselling cookbook Classic Kosher Cooking.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 10-ounce (280 grams) package frozen string beans, or 1 pound (450 grams) fresh string beans
  • 1 4-ounce (110 grams) can mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup cooked corn kernels
  • 1 small red pepper
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons oil
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • pinch oregano

Preparation:

1. Cook string beans until tender but crisp.
2. Mix remaining ingredients, and add to green beans.
3. Toss, mix, and chill.
