- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs

- CHOCOLATE ICING:
- 3 ounces chocolate chips, pareve
- 2 tablespoons margarine, pareve
- 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar.
3. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
4. Add flour slowly. Mix lightly until dough forms.
5. Prepare baking sheets by either lining with parchment paper or spraying with non-stick spray.
6. Roll a tablespoon of dough into a ball. Place balls on the prepared baking sheet. Then flatten the balls (1 centimeter or 3/4 inch thickness) by either pressing each one down with the palm of your hand or using a rolling pin.
7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
8. While the cookings are baking and then cooling, make the icing. In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips and margarine in the microwave. Stir in the sugar. Stir in the water. You can add a few more drops of water if you want the glaze to have a thinner consistency.
9. When the cookies are cool, on the flat side of the cookie, spread chocolate glaze on half of the cookie and white glaze on the other half.
10. You can also make designs on the cookies using the icing, such as happy faces for Purim.
