Spring is here, and those long, hot, summer Sabbath days are just around the corner. Days for relaxing, reading, resting and recharging our batteries for the work week ahead. These days call for lite - but still festive - Shabbat menus.
These Spring Sabbath menus include kosher recipes for grilled fish or chicken, barley and a variety of salads. While it isn't necessary to make all the salads listed here, personally I like to make a variety of salads on Friday. While my family is not always great about finishing cooked Sabbath leftovers during the week, they do have a tendency to eat and enjoy leftover salads.
