These Teriyaki Green Beans grace our table nearly every Shabbat. They are healthy, easy to make and great tasting. Try experimenting with different teriyaki sauces. We have found a sesame teriyaki sauce that works particularly well with the beans.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup pine nuts or slivered almonds
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped

- 800 gram bag of frozen green beans
- 1/2-3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
Preparation:
1. Place nuts or almonds in one layer in a toaster oven pre-heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degree Celsius) until golden. Watch very carefully as they burn easily.
2. Saute the onion in the oil until translucent.
3. Add the green beans and continue cooking until the beans are tender (approximately 15 minutes).
4. Add the teriyaki sauce. Mix to coat the beans.
5. Remove from the heat. Add half of the toasted pine nuts or slivered almonds. Mix well.
