Colorful Cauliflower

Giora Shimoni
My neighbor served this Colorful Cauliflower dish on Friday night, and it has become a staple on my Sabbath table ever since. I added a bit more onion and garlic powder to the recipe. When I marinate my chicken, I also cut and spice the cauliflower. Then I put this vegetable and the chicken in the oven together before Shabbat.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cauliflowers
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp. tumeric
  • 6-8 Tbsp. olive oil

Preparation:

1. Cut cauliflower into florets.
2. In a small bowl, mix the remaining ingredients.
3. Pour spice and oil mixture on top of caulifower florets and mix until coated.
4. Bake in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 30 minutes or until cooked through.
