Frozen Chocolate Cheesecake for Shavuot (Dairy)

The guests have been invited, and the holiday is approaching fast. Why not lessen the load of holiday preparation by preparing dessert a few days in advance? This delicious Chocolate Cheesecake, which can be kept in the freezer for up to a week, should be served frozen.

Ingredients:

  • 2 3-oz. packages of cream cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1-oz chocolate
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 9-inch prepared graham cracker crust

Preparation:

1. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Beat until creamy.
2. Melt chocolate in microwave. Then add to batter. Mix well.
3. Fold whipped cream into batter.
4. Spoon batter into crust.
5. Freeze until firm.

VARIATION:

Sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped nuts on the top of the pie.

TIP:

The pie can be kept in the freezer for up to one week.

SERVING SUGGESTION:

Serve the pie frozen.
