For a quick, easy, child-friendly and delicious dish for the Shavuot holiday or anytime you want to serve dairy, try this Pasta in Mushroom Cream Sauce. Vary the dish by using a different type of pasta each time you make it.

Ingredients:
- 1 12 ounce (400 grams) package of pasta
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 1 ounce (30 grams) butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces (250 grams) fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 1 8 ounce (250 grams) carton cooking cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 Tablespoon parve chicken soup powder
- salt and pepper according to taste
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
Preparation:
1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and oil. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain. Set aside.
2. Melt butter in a skillet over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Stir and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until tender.
3. Spice with soup powder, salt and pepper.
4. Turn the flame to low. Add the cream, milk, and cornstarch. Stir and cook over a low flame for 3-5 more minutes.
5. Pour the mushroom cream sauce over the pasta. Serve.
