Dress up any meal with Broiled Tomatoes. Serve this healthy and tasty side dish with your breakfast eggs, your lunch bagel, or your chicken dinner. Simply slice the tomatoes in half, season with olive oil, garlic, rosemary or basil, salt and pepper, and broil for 15-20 minutes. Simply delicious.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 large salad tomatoes
  • 4 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • black pepper

Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a shallow pan with parchment paper.
2. Halve the tomatoes widthwise. Place them on the parchment paper, cut side up.
3. In a small bowl, mix garlic, olive oil, rosemary, salt and pepper. Spread the mixture on top of the tomatoes.
4. Broil in a hot oven for 10-15 minutes or until tomatoes release their juices and the garlic turns brown.
