Quick & Easy Sugared Nuts

Given the way I celebrate the Jewish Sabbath and holidays, I often cook festive meals for large crowds and don't cook on the same day as the festive meal is served. So this recipe for sugared nuts plays a major role in my cooking repertoire. They can be prepared as much as a week before the festive meal, and they can turn a mundane lettuce salad into a masterpiece.
